Pujo time is always fun…getting together with family, meeting up friends, yummy food and a flavour of everything nice in the atmosphere 🙂

Priest in a Pose

Watch out the attitude in his looks….hehehe….My Rockstar Dad!!

Chandan (Red and White)

There are basically two types of sandalwood paste used for the puja (white and red)…the book you see contains the chants for the puja, also called as “Lokkhi Broto Kotha” in Bengali

Ghat with Banana and Mango leaves

Setting up the ghot in front of the idol is one of the most imp aspects of the puja. It consists of water from the river Ganges with a banana placed on a twig of the Mango tree and a silver/gold coin

Offering Pushpanjali

Pushpanjali == Pushpa (flowers) + Anjali (Offering)

In short, it means offering flowers to the Goddess and chanting for evoking her blessings
